In 2000, Matan was among the first organizations accepted into Bikkurim: An Incubator for New Jewish Ideas, and in 2001 was awarded the prestigious Joshua Venture Fellowship for Jewish social entrepreneurs. Matan was included in Slingshot: A Resource Guide to Jewish Innovation in 2007-2008, 2009-2010, 2011-2012, 2012-2013, 2013-2014 (in addition to the Disability and Inclusion supplement) and 2014-2015 (in addition to the Washington DC supplement). Throughout the years, Matan has received generous support from individuals, foundations and federations, all of whom have become partners in creating a more inclusive Jewish community.
