“Four years ago, the Park Avenue Synagogue Congregational School team brought in Matan to help set up a program for learners with disabilities. Prior to working with Matan, our Congregational School did not have a program in place to accommodate learners with varying degrees of special needs. With the help of Matan, we were able to set up two self-contained classes, which allowed learners who needed a smaller learning setting to get the attention they needed. Matan also helped us identify learners in typically developing classrooms who needed in-class support. Not only did Matan help us develop these classes, they assisted in putting all of this into place. From learner intake to their newfound successes in the classrooms, Matan worked with us every step of the way to help make sure we were meeting the needs of every child. They have been immensely helpful in making our school inclusive and supportive of all learners."

The Matan Staff was an incredible addition to our summer staff training. In one morning, they informed, explained and inspired our staff on how to work with all children and staff. Their training was perfect- it was interactive, up to date and really kept our staff engaged. Throughout the summer we referenced back to their session and really we’re able to use it as a tool for building an inclusive community.
